From an entry of 1227 pieces.
A prize goes to each of the three following plus an invitation
to read the poems on the Winners Evening at the Barbican Library on Wednesday
27th September. The poems will be published in the Writer-of-the-Year
Anthology 2006 that will be available at the Winners Evening.

From an entry of 258 pieces.
The following two stories will each receive a prize together with an
invitation to read a part of their submission at the Winners Evening
at the Barbican Library on Wednesday 27th September. Both pieces will
be published in the Writers-of-the-Year 2006 Anthology and submitted
to a leading London literary agency for assessment.

To be awarded prizes plus the invitation to read their
story or part of it at the Winners Evening at the Barbican Library on

2006 Anthology.

BURSARIES
offers
bursaries to winning students on the Creative Writing Courses at Middlesex
University and the University of Glamorgan. In each case the winners
are invited to attend the Winners Evening on Wednesday 27 September at
the Barbican Library and asked to read an excerpt from their entry.

offers winners of the Jersey Poetry Competition an invitation to the
Writers-of-the-Year Winners evening, inviting them to read, publishing
their poem in the Writers-of-the-Year 2006 Anthology and offering
a bursary
to a third finalist.
